To difficult to chose but mainly the usual suspects, France, Germany, Austria and Italy would be my first four.

Has to be Slovenia, the western side with the Soca valley rich in scenery and history, its friendly people and great food. This is closely followed by Austria and Germany, both I will return to again and again.

Italy did not impress me overly though I admit that what I saw cannot be seen as an accurate reflection of the country.

For us it has to be Italy Lovely scenery from the lakes  through the Dolomites and then Tuscany. The usual places like the Amalfi Coast , etc but for real change try the Adriatic and the Marche region away from the coast there are real gems of places this off the usual tourist trail and little known so go in Sept or early Summer and you will have a great holiday
