French Breathalyser

Having travelled in France for many years and carried the NF Breathalyser and never been asked to use one I am considering not taking this year after researching the latest information on web.It seems that in 2014 that the 11Euro fine has been stopped for
not carrying said item when stopped.Also when we where in Normandie France last year we seached for breathalysers in supermarkets,pharmacies,shops,petrol stations we didn't find any and all the staff members we asked in the establishments had no idea what
we were after even showing them item as well.

Any thoughts on this topic please.
