logging on in explorer 11 causing program to stop

When signing in i sometimes have the "explorer has stopped working" error box up.

I had the same issue on my 4 year old laptop using win7, and latest explorer. But i just put that down to a bug in the old machine.

I now have a new laptop using windows 8.1 with i believe exp 11, preloaded.

And get the same issue, does the club have any advice?
