Accessing CLs

I'm in my first year caravanning and though club sites are clean and convenient bases to day trip from, CLs appeal to me for peace, quiet and scenery. So far I have only used one, it ticked my boxes save for access. The road to the village was marked as
unsuitable for HGVs yet I encountered one within a couple of minutes. The access road to the site was narrower with no passing places. I am a careful driver but worry about those who are not. I really want to make more use of CLs but this aspect is putting
me off. Any comments?
