Safety of dog in crate on overseas site?

Hi this is my first post and I'm not sure if I'm putting it in the right 'room'....!

upi want to take my Great Dane to France when we go next summer. she'll be in her crate inte awning when we go out for a few hours/ go to the pool/ etc and is happy with this. 

My question is - how likely is she to be stolen? Am I worrying unnecessarily? Any tips?
