More about Rowntree Park
I am in the same position as IanH mentioned in a previous thread three week ago. We booked a standard pitch with awning at Rowntree Park on Dec 4th only to find out quite by accident yesterday that there are only 10 awning pitches and these are all under
the trees in the shade. I have read all the comments on Ian's thread and am totally mistified as to why the enormouse central pitches have been designated non awning? As someone has already stated is the CC a club or a business. Why can't the awning pitches
and non awning pitches be placed alternately as I have seen on other site plans and why have there been no response from the club or site moderator to address these issues other that issuing a dictate from on high along the lines of " we know what is best
for you ".Ia am sure that if there was a premium paid for awning pitches then the number at Rowntree would be considerably more than TEN - it's pathetic. Rowntree was our favourite site and we visited quite a few times every year however if this kind of draconian
rule persists I for one will not be renewing my membership and will go elsewhere wher coman sence seems to prevale.
