Sign in problems back

After not having had sign in problems for many weeks I have had major problems signing in with IE9 for the past week or so.  Today I tried several dozen times getting on eventually and when timed out was unable to get back in having tried 40 - 50 times including retyping name and password many times.  I am currently logged in using Firefox.  Is there anyone else who has eventually managed to sign in who has been having this problem recently?
