Lemmings
Have you noticed, all the caravan manufacturers are like lemmings, they all follow each other with design layout? Take the Swift group; they have Swift, Sprite, and Sterling. Lunar and Bailey have their ranges, but apart from the odd wild card. All of them
have the same types of layout, with different textile and wood combinations, which make them different, and the selling price?
The smaller manufacturers tend to go off the beaten track in design, and you can get something a bit different.
All of our past and present caravans we opted to have them little different, wrap around seating, L shaped seating. This gets that common place chest of draws out of the way, which gives you a huge bed area when it’s made up. What I cannot understand is
with today’s technology, why aren’t manufactures coming up with designs to give more living space inside a caravan, than having a fixed bed, be it island, left hand or right. So the caravan in ‘Day’ mode is more accommodating and sociable. 35 years ago my
parents had a Sprite that had a double bed that folded up to the wall in the day, giving a galley seating arrangement with table.
