Manufacturer's warranty when bought from second han

Bought 2011 elddis from somerset motorhome center. What I want to know is it has a manufacturer's 6 year water ingress warranty on it and is still valid.  Have been reading that have take it back to the dealer I bought it from but they are not authorised
elddis dealers and the main dealer is in Dorset where van was first bought from. I live in Worthing west sussex and have tried two dealers here who suggested I would have to pay £30 per hour for any warranty work to be done because they never sold me the van.
 This is all a very grey area bordering on the black. Anyone throw some light on this as if this is correct it limits the consumers choice of where they can get the best deals and therefore what is the point of motorhome/caravan shows
