Orion 430-4 has a warranty which reaches the end of its 3 year term in mid May 2014 and I nearly ended up paying for an expensive part! I put the van in for a service on the 8th April (3rd annual service) and was greeted with an unpleasant surprise from my
local Bailey caravan servicing centre who informed me that the Truma Hot water tank had a hole in it at that it would need replacing. The cost to replace it was £231 for the tank, labour and VAT. On examination of the stainless steel tank I could see that
there was a small pin size hole in the welded seam on the top of the tank. Judging by the amount of limescale around the tank and bearing in mind that the water system was purged of water back in November 2013 for the winter lay - up, it is fairly obvious
that the leak had been there sometime.  I suspect that the hole was due to a small piece of welding slag that was embedded in the weld eventually coming  adrift. So my message is clear, get your van serviced thoroughly before the warranty expires in order
to save yourself an unecessary expense. I must commend Farnham Leisure Services in Suffolk for undertaking such a thorough service as the leak was only visible when the cover was removed from over the water heater tank.

It is comforting to know that this business really does do " what it says on the tin".
