Zeebruge to Port Grimaud Southern France

My wife and I are thinking of caravanning to Port Grimaud this August, it will be the first time we have toured in Europe, and looking for advise on possible places to visit on the way to and from the Med.  We are taking 3 weeks to complete the trip, and
planning to stay in Port  Grimaud for 5 days, suggestions for campsites and stopovers would be welcome. Has anyone had experience of such a tour?
