, I will shortly be travelling to Germany via the tunnel and A16 to the A3 for Frankfurt.Will i need any 'permits' as i pass
by other countries ?? Info' please .

About 75 towns and cities in Germany have a "green zone" and you will only be able to drive into them if your vehicle emissions qualify for an environmental badge - which you can buy in advance if you wish. But no permits needed just to pass through the

It's really no big deal. Just go to a dealer anywhere in Germany, present your V5c and he will issue you with a sticker for 5 Euros that will last for the lifetime of the car. But as Eurotraveller says, they are only necessary if you want to enter the city.
