We have recently purchased van (2010) Elddis 145.

Attached whale hose to outside from mains allows water to enter to less than a quarter full then stops. Have replaced hose still no good. I have solenoid fitted, no one seems to know what issue is. I contacted Whale help who told me to check filters ( where
are they)

can anyone assist

Is it possible that the water gauge is incorrectly calibrated fooling it into thinking the tank is full? I have a Bailey and it went into service with a half tank of water. When I got it back it would only fill to half way. Fortunately someone on Motorhoe Facts sent me the instructions for getting it working correctly.

It might not be a faulty water gauge, it might just be that someone (possibly at a service) has reset the measurement without checking how much water there is in the tank. This can easily be reset if you have the right access to the various codes on the
    control panal.

I have an external Whale "drop pump in water container" type rather than hose, but the hose connector is the same.

I assume you've tried turning the water tap pressure down low just in case it's backpressure switching off the feed.

Can you access the tank lid and look inside. If so you may be able to reach the float arm and manipulate that while filling - that should at least tell you where the fault lies.

I don't think there is any filter on the filler, it's on the pump.
