I'm taking an electric bike to France. Will it recharge ok on the French hook up? Anyone have any experience?

In theory 230 volt as here and same frequency. No idea what you might find on some site EHU bollards in actuality though. It will be intersting to see if anyone has had any problems.

Hook your van up to the bollard and plug your battery charger into one of the socket outlets on the van. The power supply is exactly the same.

Most French site EHUs take the normal blue three pin plug but occasionally they have a two pin socket and you will need an adapter which you can buy here before you go.

I use two battery chargers at the same time using a Y-splitter and a UK multiplug from my MH's EHU lead which remains attached to the MH.  Not had any problems with supply tripping - we're just careful what appliances we use.

Not long back from France and at times both our battery's were charging at the same time in the awning via extension cable from van outlet with no problem

Even on a 3 Amp bollard there should be no issue with charging an ebike, it should pull only a few tenths of an Amp.

I intended to answer that French electric is the same as UK electric but thought my comment might be taken in the wrong way....however....it is the same!!!!SurprisedHappyWinking
