Googling 'Camping Freiburg' shows a couple of sites.

Camping Hirzberg has a bus stop at the gate....click the stop for details.

Google 'Trains Freiburg' and the full schedules are shown.

If you Motorhome there are Stellplatze in the area.

We stayed at Camping Hirzberg in February and would not return.

We arrived and reception was closed, so we pitced up and went to the office later. We were given an electric meter to measure our electric use, and then charged 70 cents per KWH - approx five times the actual cost in Germany.

Later, other vans arrived - all German. Not one had a meter. Some arrived after reception closed and left before it opened!

I gave the receptionist some real earache in the morning.

That said, it's about one mile to walk into the town.

If we went to Freigburg again, we would stay on the motorhome stellplatz or at one of the motorhome dealers that allows nightstops.

We have stayed at a campsite at Tittersee, The site is at the southern end of the lake and the town is pretty but full of tourists.

If staying for a few dsys you get a free travel pass which got us the bus to Tittersee and the train to Frieberg.

    Site facilities  are very good.

Stayed at Camping Hirzberg in June using an ACSI Card so no problem with connection charge/metering - common in Germany. Site has a quiet period  (i.e. closed) 1300 to 1500 and 2300 to 0800 and not a minute before! The entrance is on a residential road with
a small entrance with only enough space for one outfit to park so best not to arrive at 1501. Site is sloping, levelling blocks required, pitches on the small side, facilities are at the bottom near reception, quite a short steep slope so anyone with mobility
problems may find it difficult. Facilities are clean but not luxurious. There is a Beer Garden adjacent to site and Frieburg a pleasant stroll away. There is a Tourist Card for the Black Forest area which I believe gives free public transport but we did`nt
stay long enough suggest you google for info on this. Overall a perfectly adequate site near to Frieburg for convenient access to a very nice city.

We stayed at Camping Kirchzarten in Kirchzarten as Freiburg has an Umweltzone that the site above is in and we are unable to get a plakette for our aging diesel motorhome.

It's a bit holiday camp-ish but there's a cracking pool complex next door that's included in the price and we also got the Konus card which gave is free transport in the Black Forest area.  We went all the way to Basle with ours!
