When you read magazine reviews of new cars, a common theme is the reduction of weight. This is rather forced on manufacturers to meet various targets, facilitate various power sources etc. They are starting to use new materials that are much lighter, and
redesigning parts to shave off weight. So what is going to happen with caravans. Recently, many Caravan manufacturers have reduced their weight but will we see some cars becoming too light to tow the ones they can tow at present? Will we have to buy 'bigger'
cars to meet the 85% rule?
