High French Autoroute charges

I recently travelled in my motorhome from Calais down to Avignon using the Autoroutes where possible to speed the journey. The total toll charges came to 110 Euro as my motorhome was treated as a class 2 vehicle. Has anybody else experienced these high charges
or am I doing something wrong? Does a tag reduce the charges and if so how do you get one?
