Royan to Sarlat-la-Caneda

Can anyone recommend a good route to take that would be picturesque but easy to navigate with the caravan? It would be nice to know a stop off place, where we could park the car/caravan and perhaps have some lunch, other than a motorway service station.

    Depends how much of a meander you want. If you want to follow the D146 along the Gironde, there is a big area adjacent to the river at Blaye, much used by MH's.
