Hi - we are looking to book a site for a family holiday in France.  Will be driving from calais in our motorhome.  Looking for a site that offers something for everyone.  Bar, watersports, shop, entertainment etc etc.  We have a variety of ages so need lots
of things to keep everyone happy.  Any suggestions would be greatfully received.

Sounds as if you ae looking for a full-service site. I suggest you get the Michelin France Campng Guide which has a great many recommendations for sites ofthis nature.  Apart for the obvious coastal sites there are many good sites for watersports on inland
    lakes.

Have you worked out how far you want to drive?  Some people have no probmm going all the way south, some want to stop within a couple of hours of the ports (whichever one they use).  I would say to take advantage of the difference in weather you need to
go a good way south (to the Dordogne or further south).

Another important consideration is 'when are you going'?  This will have a real impact on campsite recommendations - sites in peak season can be very very different in low season.  What ages are you (youngest/oldest)?  That will make a difference too!
