VW Tiguan towbar problems

Bought a Tiguan end of January, brand new, talked in to having the Volkswagon foldaway towbar, have now learnt that the fridge does not work, nor is the leisure battery being charged ( loom problem I understand ) but more importantly have experienced traction
control problems , although when plugged in the ATC green light comes on and it makes all the necessary noises, but with two nasty experiences under my belt it didn't work, the traction control on the car kicked in intermitantly working the brakes and taking
control of the accelerator which nearly got us wiped out by an articulated lorry. Have any others members experienced this, if so can you please tell me what the problem is.
