Breakdown Cover

I am a member of Green Flag breakdown through the CC and I use Red Pennant when I tour abroad.

Now Green Flag say that they will not add continental cover to my policy as the CC provide Red Pennant. So my annual Green Flag is £115 and the Red Pennant for a 2 week trip to France last year was about £105. This still left me a few weekend trips to France
and Belgium without the van so I went without cover.

Is the Green Flag / Red Pennant package a good deal or should Green Flag perhaps provide a package with continental cover included for a secified number of days per year?  Or are there better ways of getting the necessary cover at home and abroad?
