Projector instead of TV?

Being new to caravaning, we were sat in our old Hobby discussing whether we should get a TV or not. The fact is we don't have a great deal of space to put one.  My wife came up with the idea of using a projector onto one of the blinds.  There are many LED projectors about, with freeview/TV recievers for around £200.  This could be fitted to the underside of one of the high top cupboards in the living area.  Has anyone else tried this out?  Is it a sensible idea?
