Euro tunnel Calais security
hi all just thought post note on our experience on Wednesday returning to UK . Delay due to potential immigrant found in tunnel.got into compound with no issues apart from very rude UK border control who made us feel like criminal with questioning and attitude.
Parked in designated motorhome/caravan and coach area to wait. Delay of over 60 mins(by the way this was about 4 o'clock in afternoon)whilst waiting we noted a strange individual wandering about the units, obviously a potential illegal by way dressed. No car
etc, just wandering aimlessly around vehicles. No euro tunnel security about(assume dealing with tunnel incident) .anyway idividual got in conversation with European registered coach driver. A lot of people were keeping an eye on this guy, just before coach
set off driver signalled to the guy he waved a group sitting on bench at the terminal. Two women and 5 children rushed forward and jumped on coach with the guy and off to the tunnel to UK .no security about to contact, spoke with the euro tunnel team said
they were only responsibly for getting vehicles on train and not security . May be wrong, maybe they had just missed last coach and the driver out of kindness took them on, but no luggage and way dressed etc leads me to believe they were illegals. Another
8 made it through. Reason for post is my wife was very uncomfortable with situation and said what if she was on own or at night, remember this was mid afternoon. Just take care and keep vigilant if you are traveling this way. Obvious to me the security are
not interested once they get in to compound. I guess if these get through another problem gone for them as long as they don't disrupt trains and effect income. Had made us think how many are getting through this way as no security checks on trains and once
on no stopping at other side to get caught
not a good situation not sure how will ever be resolved
