CC route planner waste of clubs money?

I planned a route from Yorkshire to Cherry Hinton on the Caravan Club web site only to find the route different to the recommended 'final approach' given in the 2014 year book and on the Cherry Hinton web site AND the CC approved Snooper sat nav (which would
send me yet another way).

 Why has OUR club paid to have what it seems is a totally useless facility on the web site and also recommends a sat nav that is supposed to 'go by the book' on route planning only to do its own thing?

Why put the clubs name to a product that doesnt then work with out club?

Would our club be prepared to explain why it chose to be linked with Snooper and what the financial benefits were/are for the club?
