Boating with an inlatable dingy

HI, I am thinking of booking some time on one of the sites in the Lake District, can anyone tell me if it is allowed to launch your own infalable dingy on the lakes,  we use our dingy as much as we can when away , there is no problem at Houghton Mill  (Well
recmmended ) and no problem in the Norfolk Broads (Well recommended)   any information about any other sites "In England" where you can launch would be very much appreciated.   Terry
