Lake Garda Area Sites?

We are beginning to struggle to find a smallish quieter site in or around Lake Garda. Has anyone any suggestions? Must be dog friendly and able to access Verona without too much of a  trek. We are restricted to late August. We have found one at nearby Lake
Idro which on paper ticks a lot of boxes (apart from not having a clue what amps the electricity is) but get the impression the drive over the mountains will be a bit busy and slow in peak season.
