Nose weight Swift Fairway/Conqueror 480
Can anyone tell me the nose weight of a Swift Fairway 480, with battery and gas bottle. This model is a Broadlane dealer special.
Failing that, a Conqueror 480 should be very close.
My car (Skoda Octavia Est) has a 75kg NW limit, so I'm wandering if we'll have a problem from the off.
If we only go away for a couple of days, we'll travel lightly and so may not have an awning or much esle in the van to compensate if the 'out of the box' NW is closer to 100kg.

Thats what i did with our Bailey. Standard exworks NW was 88kg.
The dealer measured mine before collection with the mover fitted behind the axle, battery and single gas lite in front locker, NW was 90kg which wasn't a problem with the Xtrail i had at the time.

Bearing in mind that dealer-fitted extras are common and more or less permanent items are often put into the caravan by the owner prior to the first outing it seems a bit pointless quoting a noseweight that, at best, only applies for its first journey after
taking delivery from the dealer. Besides, as the desired noseweight can always be achieved by appropriate ballasting, I don't really see the need, either.0 -
The MTPLM of the Fairway is 1314kg, and is an ok match for the Octavia. I checked this a while back. If the Conqueror is 1484kg, that's more than I expected above the Fairway special. Spec is very similar. Conqueror must have some heavy carpets or something.
I"ll just have to wait to check the display Fairway van at the weekend.

You must not assume 2 similar caravans from the same manufacturer with same layout have the same weight. I would normally expect the weight information to be displayed in the window. The caravan we are buying next comes in 3 levels of trim and they weigh
1600, 1800 and 1900kg's respectively.0
