Newby to Southern Ireland

Hi all i'm planning to go to Southern Ireland for 6 weeks in May and June with a Jeep towing a 15ft caravan. I  want to travel up the Atlanic Way of which most of the roads look a bit iffy to me can anyone advise. We've been to most of our european neighbours
with this rig and had no trouble. Also what may seem a daft question are the English welcome over there. As you can tell i'm clueless.  thanks
