Travelling to the Czech Republic

Just wondered if anybody travelled to the Czech Republic? We have been looking at routes and sites along the way. Any recommendations? Thanks

    We went last year.  We left from Celle in Germany and went via south of Dresden to just South of Prague.  Getting vignette no problem but make sure your satnav is upto date with East Europe countries.  People kind and helpful and everything cheap.  Hope

    We go about every three years and have some favourite places like Ceske budejovice,Hluboká nad Vltavou Chateau as far as we are concerned the further you get away from Praha the better the country is!. Stayed here(http://en.inbudejovice.cz/3_5445_long-meadow-motel-ceske-budejovice/?t=111&o=7)
    a couple of times and it has just been recently modernised as to which way to approach depends very much on whether you are going to the north or the south of the country
