Haven't been there for years but if you google Overnight Parking at Newhaven you will find lots of other people have stayed there and described it, plus an official answer from the ferry port management.

See question 1 on the official
    website here

However you will be parked with trucks and possibly overnight refrigeration units, not the most pleasant of spots..

There is a smal;l CL at
    South Heighton Farm
, just 10 minutes from the ferry. A nice but very small site which I have seen, but not used.  Access is tight though

A few miles along the coast is the Buckle caravan Park at Seaford, (10 mins to ferry) and in the other direction is the Club site at Brighton (Sheepcote Valley), allow half an hour to
    ferry, longer in rush hour.

For motorhomes, you can park on the seafront at Seaford, free parking for 12 hours, but unfortunately caravans are verboten.

    Hope this helps.

nights I will check out the site

    Thanks again

South Heighton Farm CL is extremely convenient for the Newhaven Ferry and is easy access.
