Sites in the region around Biscarrosse

Hi, Were are going to France this summer with our 5 year old boy, and the area around Biscarrosse has been recommended to us. I have been looking at sites and they all appear as though they will be very loud and busy ... and expensive. I was just wondering
if any one had could recommend a site, or had any experience of camping around this area. We are flexible of where we camp. We stayed in La Rochelle last summer, and would like somewhere a little further south ... preferably a short drive from a beach/lake.
