Hi, we are in the very early stages of planning our holiday for next May & June and have decided to visit parts of Spain & Portugal we have never visited before doing some sightseeing and also rest sites. I have been looking for anything on the Club forum
for any information about the areas we are considering as stops but it is greatly lacking, or I cannot find it with our excellent search facility! Most information about Portugal seems to be in the Algarve or Lisbon areas and there is nothing really for north
west Spain. So if anyone has any knowledge of the area or sites below or any help at all it would be greatly appreciated. Reccomendations also welcome

We shall travel in our 8m, 4 tonne, motorhome and tend to do a lot of our own cooking so like access to fresh food & groceries if possible. We also like to use our bikes, foot or busses to get about. We avoid toll roads.

We will probably stop for a while in France, possibly on the ACSI Campsite Ilbarritz outside Biarritz then Burgos in Spain staying at the Campsite Fuentes Blancas
then Salamanca staying at ACSI campsite Regio. We do not know these areas other than having driven past Burgos & Biarritz numerous times.

This is the bit we are not too sure about. We thought we may go west to Portugal using the A62 then A25 and have thought about staying at ACSI Campsite Quinta Chave Grande just north of Satao for a rest then on to Porto staying at ACSI Campsite Orbitur Madalena.

We would then head north to visit Santiago de Compostela staying at the Campsite Monte do Gozo. Not much info about this one but it seems quite close to the centre with easy access.

Then we would look at stopping off along the northern coast of Spain possibly at ACSI Campsite Cudillero not too far from Oviedo or the ACSI Campsite Ribadesella to the east of Oviedo for another rest and then return along the coast to France.

Anything to help is much appreciated. Happy

Regards, Roy
