Why do we keep so much stuff in the van?
I have just emptied the all the cupboards and lockers in our caravan as we have bought another one. I have managed to fill 8 40L plastic storage boxes with the contents. It is not as if it is a great big van, it is an Elldis Elf which we have traded in
for a Lunar Ariva. I was amazed at some of the things I had stored away and have been wondering why the hell I thought it would be useful, lol. Such things as a packet of 50 felt tip pens ; a wine carrier (we don't even drink); 5 sets of fairy lights (we
go to the BCC FOL every year); a fold up cupcake stand (bought for a rally street party for the Queen's jubilee). Plus there are only 2 of us but I have enough cutlery and china for 6 (well, you might get visitors). The list could go on.
I am determined that I will be ruthless when I come to load up the new van, but I guess I will still put stuff in there that just might come in handy, but probably never will. But then I am not a minimilist at home either. Has anyone else got stuff in
their vans which seemed a good idea at the time but haven't seen the light of day again?
