ESP On or Off While Towing

Hi all

I have just changed my towcar to a C-max 1.8TDCI it has ESP as standard and was wondering if i should tow with this function on or off. My main reason for asking is that if im high revving to pull away the ESP will reduce the rev's to stop the front wheels
spinning , now my thinking is that it will cut my power with the van on and maybe give me a situation i dont want to be in as regards roundabouts etc. Has anybody had experience of this with the same car or any other to that matter ?

I have a Bailey Orion 400-2 so the van is lightweight under 1200kgs and as yet no towed with the C-max as im awaiting my towbar being fitted.
