My awning is a bit short....any tricks?

Just changed our van and the new one has a rail of 999cm. Our awning has already been extended twice and is 990cm. It's an Isabella & we neither want nor can afford to change it. Trying it on the new van for the first time . It just about fits but is short
in the corners against the van and we're on a level pitch. It's going to be more of a problem if we're on a slope....any ideas?
