Pegasus GT65 Awning rail

I cannot get either of my awnings to pull round the awning rail.The porch and the sun awning jam in the rail after approximately 3 feet of inserting in the rail.I have tried WD40 and that doesnt help.Any ideas?the porch is a trio..mini i think and the sunporch
an isabella.
