The flame control on my Cadac rotates 3½ times between off and fully on, but I can rarely remember the position I left it in. The result is that I’ve often switched it off unintentionally when trying to turn the flame down and, as mine was an early one without
piezo ignition, it’s a pain to relight.

Maybe, the newer ones have a graduated control that turns less than full circle between off and full, like most other gas appliances, or am I not supposed to adjust the flame?

Maybe an experienced Cadac-user could provide some advice, otherwise mine is likely to remain in its pretty black bags for another season.
