Are two pegs better than one?

When I last went to Chatsworth, a year or so ago, there were two pegs on each pitch. The idea was not to provide you with a choice but to indicate the area you were entitled to pitch within. I note that they have returned to just one, but didn’t find out
why.

I assume it may be something to do with standardisation across the network.
