Just to also add, preferably up Norfff. Derbyshire, Lincolnshire and Yorkshire would be ideal.

Only thing we'd really like is a hardstanding pitch but not precious.

So, as per title - can anyone recommend any with a fabulous pub serving food within walking distance of the site? We've just stayed at Wortley Hall again and the pub is fab and it's really whetted our appetite for trying more. The pub is the deciding factor though :)

Well, let's deal with the pub first - The Packhorse at Little Long stone ( Derbyshire, near Monsal Head) is our favourite traditional walker's pub in the whole country. Very welcoming, people and dog friendly, roaring log fire in cold months, lovely garden
when it's warmer. Great food at reasonable prices and well kept real ales!

Soz, got a bit carried away there, can't personally recommend a CL nearby, but I bet I know a man who does - Nellie, any suggestions? Happy

The nearest CLs with H/S are Flagg Hall, No.342 in Site Directory, Blackwell Hall, No.339 and Mill Farm. Monyash, No.332. We've used both of the first 2 and had a look at the third one last week. Would certainly use them again. You'd have to drive to The
Packhorse from each. You could walk about a mile over the fields from Mill Farm to The Bulls Head in Monyash. A very popular pub although we've not dined there.

Have just spotted another (new) one within walking distance of 2 pubs... Tagg Lane Grange, Moneyash. Here's the link:-  http://tagglanegrange.co.uk/best-touring-caravan-sites-in-derbyshire/

Not up "norff" but if in Norfolk try Holly tree Cottage (1130) in Stanhoe near Burnham Market. The pub is next door, The Duck Inn. No longer a spit and sawdust place but a pub where you'll get a decent meal, paying a bit more than average, but no travelling
    costs.

The CL is not hard standing but drains well and the owner is a nice guy.

Honeypot Inn, Filey.  A hundred yards to a good pint of Timothy Taylor's and the food is value for money.  Happy

Fox and Rabbit near Pickering, North Yorks. Got their own CL, food very good, beer? This is Yorkshire, of course beer is good!

Also, there is a CL at Cropton, again under Pickering I think, pub with its own micro brewery! You can get "nissed as a pewt" very very easily in Yorkshire!

Pool Bank Farm CL, Pool-in-Wharfedale, LS21 1EU.  Hard standings, red kites, fantastic views (360 degrees) a pub a short walk up the hill (Dyneley Arms) with log fires, and two pubs a longer walk down the hill (White Hart and Half Moon).  Market town of Otley on a bus route, Ilkley a bit further on the same bus, and Leeds in the other direction.  Harrogate just over the hill on the very edge of the view!

Campsite search on UKCampsite.co.uk lists about 200 where you can actually park up at the pub itself - no walking at all.
