Loss of use due to accident
Recently, we were "rear-ended" on the motorway whilst returning from a holiday with our 15 month old Bailey Pegasus GT65 Verona. In general, the insurance companies involved have been quite efficient (except for the recovery people)
The upshot of all their work is that we have been advised that
a) the caravan can be repaired
b) It will have to go back to the Bailey factory to be repaired because of the AluTech system
c) They cannot take it in until MARCH 2016!!!!
Everybody I've told this to has reacted in the same way - "WHAT????" (sometimes with additional embellishments that have no place here)
My questions to you all - does this seem reasonable?
Have any of you found other ways of resolving such delays?
Should I expect my insurance company (incidentally the Club's 5Cs standard policy) to cover my hire of a replacement caravan until repair is complete?
Thanks for any help
