Calais Effect

really surprised when we got to harwich to check in by the numbers of cars, caravans and MH,s waiting to board.  Talking to one of the staff he said just about every sailing is full now with both trucks and cars/passengers since the strikes and the problems
with illegals at Calais.  Also spoke to other passengers who said they were travelling to France but decided to give P&O et al a miss. Could this be the norm in the future and what would the effect be on Calais?
