Tolls in France

I am going to France with the van in September but without Mrs One. 
I'm meeting my brother who is travelling in his MH so not sure yet
where in France we will be meeting. Usually we avoid toll roads except where absolutely necessary. I know that some toll booths have ticket machines on the right hand side but do they all? Before you all advise I'm not interested in Sanef at this time
