I lived in Germany as a youngster for 4 years and served 7 of my 10 years in the military there. We have been to various parts of Germany on holiday for the past 3 years. I would think 90% of Brits come off the ferries/tunnel and head south and I think
they are missing a trick. Germany is a big country with a variety of landscapes and seascapes. By and large the people are very friendly and an attempt at trying the language will usually elicite a positive response. The camps are of a high standard. Only
downside is a lot of places don't accept our credit or debit cards so unless you have a maestro card you have to carry wads of cash.
