East France in Winter

For the past two years we've travelled to Spain through France on the west side, i.e. Poitiers, Bordeaux, etc. This year will be taking the Eurostar to Calais on the 31st October and would like to explore the east, and possibly dip a toe into Switzerland,
but we are obviously concerned about the weather. Has anyone got any experience doing this route in the first couple of weeks in November?

Assuming you are not pass storming you should not encounter any great problems with the roads. They don't seem to view a bit of snow as an excuse to close the country.

Probably take some snow chains and think about water in theMotorhome in and out and you should have a great trip. .

Not sure if I would go to Spain via Switzerland but there's no real reason if that's what you want to do. Many campsites are open.

The Swiss are pass masters at keeping their roads open.  Don't know what the rules, if any, are on winter tyres for MH.
