Our first trip abroad with dogs and a motorhome!

We have just bought our first motorhome and are planning a trip to the Costa Blanca (Javea) in Jan/Feb for a month. Initial thoughts are to start in Calais and return via the Bilbao ferry.  We would really appreciate good tips on places to stay, routes to
take and in particular, any places not to miss with two dogs in tow!
