A bit of a word of warning for anybody that uses that clubs foreign booking service...

yesterday morning having been planning for a very long time to book into a castel site in Vendee I was on the phone at 08:44 to ensure that I got the site, dates and pitch that my family and I had all agreed upon.

After 25 minutes of being on hold I finally got through to a member of staff. Wo hoo! I thoughtHappy

I explained the name of the site, very clearly, the location of it, very clearly, the spelling of the site name, very clearly... All along i was thinking this lass has no idea
Yell

when the confirmation came through the wrong site had been booked. It took an age for the confirmation to come through. As soon as it did I realised the mistake. Too late. The correct site is now full.

I have just had a bereavement in the family, which was a very slow ordeal. Throughout it has been something to look forward too. Yet we are now being offered sites of a much lower standard. It seems I know the region better than those advising.

what was supposed to be a special holiday for us all has been left in tatters. On explaining to my daughter this evening her response was just "why, it's really not difficult, is it?"

I expected a lot better from the caravan club. Really do people not realise that the Vandee is not in the North East of France?????

Even now typing this I am left stunned. I'm sorry but the reasons given were pathetic. The lady I have been on the phone to this afternoon/evening was helpful, but alas we are now considering a totally different holiday. Which is so wrong.. my advice, avoid
using the service, use it as a last resort. If you tried to book a site in Berlin, you could end with a booking for a site in Barcelona! I suppose they are relatively close!lol!

Oh I was offered help with a really special holiday for 2015... Hmmm once bitten twice shy.. You've been warned!
