Route from Abbeville to Blois, France

Hi

This is the first time I have used this discussion site, so here goes!

I have towed our twin axle many times through France but have always gone south via Rouen using the A13 and then A28 down through Alencon  and Le Mans.

This year we intend going to the Blois area NE of Tours and think that it would be better to drive from Rouen to Evreux on the D154 and then on via Dreux, Chatres, Chateaudun and Vendome.

Can anyone give advice on this route taking account of the Pont Mathilde diversions in Rouen?
