first time taking a dog in a motor home to germany

hello, has anyone taken their dog with them, to germany, for a couple of weeks?  We normally leave her at home with family but she is a bit delicate healthwise so we thought we would take her along.  The plan is to cycle leaving her in the van when it is
cool and then come back and walk her when the day is hot.  Is this practical?

The vet says she only needs an injection 3 weeks before we go and the paperwork is easy and quick to finalise.  Anyone tried to do this?
