The MTPLM conundrum

The user payload (MTPLM minus MIRO) on our caravan is 155kg.  I suspect most caravans, with variations obviously, will have roughly similar payloads.  Here are two scenarios.

1.  We are towing a caravan that only weights the MIRO.  We stop for a break and sit in the caravan which is still hitched to the car.  The weight of myself plus my wife plus the dog is around 150kgs so the van is now effectively fully laden and to add anything
would make it overloaded.

2.  We are towing a caravan laden to MTPLM.  We stop for a break and sit in the caravan.  Our combined weight now makes the van 150kgs overweight (maybe the axle will break under the strain).  Arriving on site the same situation applies, the corner steadies
will take some of the strain though that is not their purpose.

It seems impossible to avoid being over laden at least some of the time.

Comments please.
