Time for all Stories to be pre-approved?

We have a lot of regulars who put in a lot of effort to publish stories with photo's of their recent travels. Unfortunately we seem to be getting a lot posted in that section which are no more than site reviews or rants about this or that. Would people object
if stories required to be pre-approved? I am not suggesting that pre-approval would in any way consist of any editing but just an opportunity to stop non-stories constantly appearing in that section. This would mean that there could be a slight delay in stories
appearing in that section. I have no idea whether this is possible but would welcome views so they can be passed on to Rowena.
